Description: One of the things that makes our Forest Watch Program so successful is the heavy reliance on scientific and qualitative data we collect form the field. A volunteer who is experienced in the field and familiar with the species and ecology of the Southeast is needed to conduct field surveys. This person must have proven experience and be willing to travel. . Estimated project time: 10-12 hours a month, as needed. Candidate Background: The best candidates for this position will have: training, coursework, etc. in biology, ecology, etc; field experience; excellent written and oral communication skills; self –motivation; excellent organizational skills.
