Wild Things!

Wild Things! brings wildlife educators to western NC schools, churches, and community centers. Educators provide unique and exciting opportunities for children to experience the wonders of nature through hands-on interaction with native wildlife. We have sponsored wolf programs, advised the construction of an interpretive nature trail, and led students on a field trip to see elk in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  To date, we have introduced more than half a dozen programs led by professional environmental educators in rural communities across western NC, educating hundreds of students about the importance of appreciating and conserving wild things and their habitats.
