Wild South’s Roosevelt-Ashe Society is a select group of individuals dedicated to sustaining wild places in the South through support of resources and time.
Nominations accepted in the following categories:
Outstanding Youth: This youth stands out as the future of conservation (middle school, undergraduate-aged).
Outstanding Educator: This educator inspires the next generation of conservationists.
Outstanding Volunteer: This individual contributes time, energy, and passion to supporting environmental conservation.
Outstanding Business: This business operates under a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Outstanding Philanthropist: This individual or family makes financial investments in positively impacting the environment.
Outstanding Environmental Journalist: A person who has made significant contributions to raising awareness of environmental issues affecting the South through his/her writing.
Outstanding Conservationist: This individual may not fit into another category but deserves recognition for their outstanding contribution to environmental conservation.
Nomination forms are being accepted online at www.wildsouth.org until midnight on Friday, February 10, 2012.
Nominations will be reviewed by a third-party Awards Issuance Committee. Visit our website for full eligibility requirements. Award recipients and their nominators will be notified of the decision by Friday, February 24, 2012.
The Fourth Annual Wild South Roosevelt-Ashe Society Conservation Awards and Green Tie Gala will be held Friday, March 23, 2012. |
