The Roosevelt-Ashe Society's Conservation Awards Dinner & Green Tie Gala Presented by Wild South: Seven individuals and one business were honored on Friday, September 26, 2008, for their outstanding contributions to environmental conservation in the Southeast.
 "There can be no greater issue than that of conservation in this country." ~Theodore Roosevelt, 1912  The Green Tie Gala featured dinner with four local chef's signature slow foods dishes, a keynote address by Mrs. Charlotte Lunsford Berry, an appearance by Pres.
