In North Carolina, Wild South is acting on a Blowing Rock Town Council resolution that has called for the creation of the Grandfather National Scenic Area (GNSA). The citizen-driven campaign led us to DC, where we introduced all NC delegates to GNSA proposed legislation. Regional economists and elected officials have endorsed the scenic area, as well as the owners of local landmarks like Grandfather Mountain and The Blowing Rock. In addition, Wild South and our partners have collected over 50 signatures on our business sign-on letter. We anticipate securing a lead sponsor in Congress in 2008.
